DRENCHED IN DAZE by JRC

there i was
out in the rain
a cyst on the neck
of fear and pain
i couldnt forget
and to my disdain
that i was a flaw on
the human stain

and yet these threads
will never fray
i'll never waste
another day
within my head
of foggy gray
nothing left to
think or say

rays of hope
rip out my skin
these brittle bones
may break and bend
my mind's wall
i still defend
upon a wish
a star will lend
